====== Unboxing ====== ===== The KIT: "AR(n)Ti_FA.CT!" ===== We show you here the unboxing of the SolarNET.HuB (SNH) prototype from its very beginnings and in real time, while we are still dealing to improve some of its features. **We are working to make a more professional and attractive packaging.** In the following video, we introduce the components and their assemblage as we have thought for the design of the kit. We have simply gathered them, as they reach us from our suppliers, in a box that simulates what you will receive when placing a request. When we manage to transport our information efficiently to any place and the protected connection can be shared collectively with many people, a range of possibilities that can be explored open up. For example, some interesting features to explore are: * **You can use the device to work as a Hub** for other devices, serving the applications and providing all the potential related to the tools that protect privacy (like Tor), through the LAN network. With this configuration, you can visit an IP address and use several of the applications of the kit that allow remote use, including the project network. * **You can power other USB devices** connecting them directly to the solar panel but also **using the kit as a safe standalone electric charger**, as it has a battery that gives it an autonomy of ~4/6h. In this second video, you can see the solar autonomy of the artifact by the lights working. Together with its automatic connectivity abilities and some of its semantic layers functions, the idea of machines tied by a cable to an electric power grid, changes. The distributed architecture we are creating for an internet with a human environment inside where the content is not perpetually present, as the user neither it is and as centralized servers done, is much more versatile. Among other things, the interest is focused in the important content to follow instead of so many individuals and their profiles. Thus, it is a good kit also for developing new features or paradigms of abstraction.
